Watching the MSM coverage of Rita Saturday morning shows that, thankfully, the damage wasn’t nearly as bad as some predicted. Remember that the MSM is in the business of telling you how terrible things are going to be to keep you tuned in. The coverage did expose the tremendous level of preparedness that the US Government took to prepare for Rita vs the completely bungled, inept response to Katrina. I suppose Bush, FEMA and the other related agencies thinks this makes them look like heroes. Actually, it begs the question, if they could do this for Rita, where the hell were they for Katrina? Idiots.

I also saw Bush Saturday morning giving a statement live from NORTHCOMM HQ in Colorado Springs. NORTHCOMM stands for Northern Command. As in Military Command. Following 9/11 the Bush Administration created the Northern Command in an effort to foster closer working ties between public safety agencies and the military in the event of a homeland emergency. I Googled to find a Mission Statement for NORTHCOMM, but found none. In related articles, I did however find that their overall mission is “searching for new ways to make better use of U.S. military resources in the event of an emergency in the U.S.” and “Improved disaster/crisis response that makes greater use of the military”. That may all sound well and good. Admittedly, the military can do a great job in times of crisis providing logistics for rescue and providing aid for those in need. But it can also be used for other purposes.

Some related background: Congress created the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which says: “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or a force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned ” (18 USC 1385). In other words, the military should not be used when civilian authorities would better serve the purposes of maintaining order and peace. Bush suspended the Posse Comitatus Act to send troops into New Orleans following Katrina to control the outbreak of lawlessness. Given the state of the NOPD at the time, it might have been a good idea. But if you trust Bush and this administration as much as I do, the first thing that comes to mind is what Bush could do with NORTHCOMM under a different scenario.

It turns out the purpose of Bush’s trip to NORTHCOMM HQ was to oversee a US martial law takeover drill. The Washington Post reported on Friday that Operation Granite Shadow, a drill being conducted in DC is an exercise in domestic control using the US military. It would appear then, that Bush and the US military are preparing to use the US military inside the US for purposes other than response to a natural disaster. Do you trust Bush to only use the military to help us? I don’t.

For the last couple of weeks, the news has been all about Katrina, and rightly so. The largest natural disaster in the US is big news and I would never do anything to minimize the loss of life and property. Katrina also brought to light the ineptitude and lack of planning and response of every level of Government.

But on this fourth anniversary of 9-11 we shouldn’t let Katrina distract us from the bigger picture. The US Government has shown it’s own citizens and the rest of the world time and time again that while it can move tens of thousands of troops halfway around the world and bomb and kill thousands of innocent people that it cannot or will not help it’s own citizens.

A growing number of people here and abroad see the US Government and George Bush for the lying, deceiving killing machine that they are. More and more people are realizing that George Bush will stop at nothing to get what he wants and insure whatever benefits his handlers. The evidence indeed exists that Bush & Co have no hesitation to kill US citizens. Whether its the war in Iraq, Katrina or 9-11, the powers that be will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. The MSM is finally realizing this and is starting to question authority and report the Truth. For far too long, people have accepted the MSM as gospel. But even the most conservative among us eventually has to question the obvious.

Finally, people are questioning the lies about 9-11. The list of lies is long, but here’s a start: There were no Arabs on the passenger lists of the “hijacked” flights. Many on the list of hijackers are still alive. Bush sat and read to schoolkids even though he knew the country was being attacked. Burning jet fuel cannot melt steel. Buildings don’t “pancake” under conditions other than controlled demolition. There were numerous reports from police, fireman and others of explosions within the towers, though the word “explosion” doesn’t appear in the WTC Commision’s report. Rudy Giulianni had advance notice that the towers were going to collapse. WTC 7 collapsed even though it was untouched by any planes or fire. The wreckage of Flight 93 was scattered over 8 miles- it didn’t “crash”. The steel salavaged from the Twin Towers was sold to China as scrap and hauled away before it could be analyzed. The list goes on and on.

Last night my family and I attended a MLB game and there was a moment of silence for the victims of Katrina just before the playing of the National Anthem. My wife doesn’t understand why the National Anthem always brings a tear to my eye, yet I have a website like this. To me it makes perfect sense. I have a website “like this” because I love my country.

The only story that’s anywhere close to as big as the Katrina disaster is the blame game that has transpired since the storm. The amount of hot air being blown about in this blame game rivals Katrina herself. Unfortunately, there’s more blame to go around than there is aid for the victims. The Dems blame the Republicans, the City blames the State and the State blames the Feds, and vice-versa all the above. The Internet and MSM are filled with accounts of who should have done what and who didn’t. No matter what you read from whatever source, you’ll find conflicting information. One thing is clear- the principals involved are at least as worried about covering their own butts as they are about providing any meaningful assistance.

In the case of Katrina we have learned that all of the agencies and officials involved dropped the ball(s). We have been shown with deadly results that in times of crisis, when the proverbial shit hits the fan, the American people can’t count on squat from any government entity. There are those who say that we shouldn’t count on “the Government” to provide for us. If that’s the case, then stop taking money out of my paycheck! Stop paying agency heads six and seven figure salaries when in fact they either don’t know or can’t do their jobs. That money is taken from my hard earned wages with the implied message that it is actually going to benefit me somehow. Our forefathers called it representation. If I can’t benefit when the chips are down, then leave the money in my paycheck and I’ll take care of myself. No wonder politicians will lie, cheat and steal for their jobs. What other job description involves lying to get elected, then cheating and stealing from those who put you in office? Other “real” jobs are performance based; you perform and you get paid- you don’t perform and you get fired.

If nothing else, Katrina has shown the American public and the rest of the world that the US has no problem interfering with another country’s policies, even forcing “Democracy” by gunpoint, but when it comes to taking care of it’s own citizens the “Government” at any level is a dismal failure.

The response to Katrina at all levels is a symptom of the disease that is our present “Government”.

Since I updated this site on 9-1, all that is heard on the MSM is widespread criticism of the Government’s response to Katrina. And rightly so. Here it is six days after the disaster struck and finally federal troops and aid are arriving. There’s no reason that food and supplies couldn’t have been dropped from the air within 2 days. We did it after the Tsunami. The fact is, the lack of response is criminal. But we already knew this administration is full of criminals. It’s one thing that they steal our money, it’s quite another when their inaction costs Americans their lives. Get used to it folks- Bush doesn’t care. I hope all of you that voted for him are very proud of yourselves right about now.

More than ever Bush is showing his true colors, or color. That color is yellow. But hey, it’s mostly just poor black people that are dying. This will get ‘em off of welfare right? I can’t help but think the response would have been a different thing had the victims been middle or upper-class white folks. Some say it’s not about race, but the facts and actions speak for themselves. That’s not to say Bush doesn’t detest all commoners, no matter what their color.

Six days later and people are STILL trapped at the Superdome. When CNN’s Soleda O’Brien interviewed FEMA head Mike Brown on Thursday, he admitted that FEMA didn’t know that some 15,000 people were at the New Orleans Convention Center until he saw it on CNN. WTF? He didn’t know? What’s his job title again?

Hopefully, finally, Bush and the government agencies responsible have pulled their collective heads out of their collective asses and relief is finally arriving. Keep in mind that the $10.5B approved for relief yesterday is ONE-TWENTIETH of the $200B spent in Iraq since March of 2003. It’s called priorities.

This is a heads-up to all Americans. Should disaster strike again, we’re on our own. In spite of all the tax dollars that come out of every paycheck, despite the six and seven figure salaries that these agency heads receive- we’re on our own. Some say we shouldn’t rely on the Government to help us. Katrina has shown us that indeed, we can’t count on the Government to do anything for us despite their assurances and promises.

No one feels worse than I do about the situation in the South. Like many others, I have shed a tear or two while watching the news and hardly a moment has passed that I have not felt thankful that my family is safe, dry and fed. No one agrees more that this may not be the time to “politicize” the disater that is unfolding. But I just can’t help it.

Talk about your bloodlust. It’s not enough that Bush’s lies have resulted in the death of tens of thousands of civilians in Iraq as well as a couple of thousand US troops, now his lack of action and leadership are directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands in the southern US. Today people are dropping like flies while waiting to be rescued because George couldn’t mount a timely response. It’s too late and our coward of a “leader” is responsible.

Poor George. He had to cut his five week vacation short by a couple days to fly at 2500 feet over the ravaged disaster area. He might visit the area Friday- they say he is planning on it. I’m sure the “planning” is all about security. George Bush cannot walk safely among the citizens of the US and he knows it. Everyone knows it. It’s the poorest of the citizens of the South that are suffering. Bush’s lack of response shows his level of concern. I’d like to see him walk into the Superdome Friday.

Finally, the government is responding. Too little too late. The refugees are starving to death right now while waiting for “assistance”. While Condi Rice sat in a theatre in NY Wednesday night laughing at Spamalot, US citizens have sat on their rooftops for FOUR DAYS with no food, no water and no hope. Hope you enjoyed your popcorn Condi. That’s what happens when you have a token for a Secretary of State.

New Orleans is a lawless city now. People are being raped and murdered inside the Superdome- the “refuge” provided. Medical personnel will not even enter the Superdome and rightly so. Police are on their own to get food and water for themselves. Again, help is too little too late. We can send 130,000 troops to Iraq and spend 200 billion dollars on the war since March of 2003, but there’s not enough troops or money to provide safety and care for our own in a timely manner. No rational person can blame Bush for the hurricane, but the lack of response is squarely on George’s bloody hands.

Thanks George. You be sure and get a good night’s sleep tonight with a full belly while our fellow citizens suffer and die because you didn’t give a rat’s ass.

Since Sept 11th and the nonstop news coverage that lasted for days after, I always know that all is well when I turn on the TV in the morning and I see commercials on CNN. I figure if anything really big is going on, I’ll see nothing but commercial free coverage of the event. This morning my complacency was broken by the news of the London bombings.

I’ll start my commentary by saying that my condolences go out to the families of the innocent victims. My concerns also go out to those wounded in the blasts. It is always a tragedy when innocent lives are lost. However, there seems to be more than just a little double standard going on here.

I won’t get into who executed the bombings in London or why they did it- there is plenty of speculation already on the Internet. (See links below)

While CNN and other members of the MSM were providing their incessant coverage this morning, I was reminded of the fact that the British aren’t the only ones that are losing their lives in the “war on terror”. By some accounts, up to 100,000 Iraqi citizens have died also. Many of them were also innocents. Victims of a war brought to their doorstep. But I’ve yet to see CNN’s cameras there, on the streets, providing live coverage of the latest attacks on the population. Is there a camera there every time a bomb is dropped on a neighborhood? Why is it that when I express sadness over people being killed, whether they are Us or Them, the reply is “Oh well, that happens. People die in wars.” By that reasoning, why are we grieving the deaths in London? There is a war going on. When you mess with the bull, you get the horn. I guess it’s only news when it’s Us that are the victims.

I haven’t been to Iraq, but I have a feeling that the people there grieve like us, bleed like us and suffer emotionally just like we do. But wait- what am I thinking? How foolish of me! Those people over there are different! Yeah, that’s it. Towel Heads. Camel Jockeys. Sand niggers. Not really people- not like us anyway. When they get blown to bits by a coalition explosive, it’s not the same as when it happens to “Us”. They look different. And after all, they don’t even speak our language.

It’s the Us vs. Them mentality that the warmongers count on and must perpetuate. Without creating and then fostering the reasons to hate and kill, there would be no war. Don’t buy into it.

Put down your barbecued burger and your beer for just a minute this weekend and think about what the 4th of July is all about. It’s the day the US declared it’s independence from Britian two hundred twenty nine years ago and the concept of Democracy was born. The principles of this new radical form of government are laid out in the Declaration of Independence. When I read it online I was amazed at how much of it applies today and realized that the time has come to enforce it. If we don’t live by it, we aren’t living it.

When you read it, it’s plain and simple what the founding fathers were talking about. “Life, liberty and the pusuit of happiness”. A life free of government intrusion. The liberty to pursue whatever lifestyle or belief system we prefer. Happiness will generally follow if you have the first two. Several other passages caught my eye- “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness”. Since 1776, this has never applied more. Consider the gangsters that are in power now. The level of ethics and honesty is beyond reprehensible. Never before has corporate America had more influence than the voters over our “elected” representatives. “Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”. Votes don’t matter anymore. Don’t bother to write or call or email. No one is listening. When you can rig the vote, people don’t count anymore. “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”. It’s time to do our duty.

Many other charges are leveled, most being specific to the circumstances at the time, but it’s plain to see that the authors were fed up and refused to live any longer under the King’s rule. “In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury”. Then, as now, the government had stopped listening to the will of the people.

OK- you can go back to the burgers and beer. But keep in mind what it costs to have the freedom to observe the Fourth and every other day as you see fit. Will you do what it takes to keep that freedom for yourself and your kids and their kids? The Founding Fathers did.

The idiot goes on to talk about the atrocities commited by the enemy. There are tens of thousands of Innocent Iraqis who have lost family members who might be able to talk about atrocities also. I could go on (and on) picking his speech apart line by line, and show that virtually everything he said is a lie, in many cases proven by the government’s own statements. LIE: WMDs. LIE:Iraq connection to 9-11. LIE: Saddam’s connection to 9-11. Towards the end of his speech, Bush says “We live in freedom because every generation has produced patriots willing to serve a cause greater than themselves.” So why aren’t Bush’s daughters carrying a rifle? Because Daddy is a chickenshit. Bush went AWOL. Cheney never served, nor did Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, John Ashcroft, Richard Pearle, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich, Condi Rice, John Bolton, Bill Bennett, Tom DeLay, Jeb Bush, Trent Lott, Ted Nugent and many more people who have no problem ordering our kids to go and die, or go on TV and tell the country how great this war is. I don’t profess to be an expert, only an
observer of the American political process. I was 11 when JFK was shot and at that
point in time, I figured something was wrong and my mind hasn’t changed since. This
year’s mock election debacle reinforces my beliefs.

First, there’s something wrong with the number
of candidates still in the running, with no consistently clear leader, according to the
primaries, caucuses and polls. To me, this says the voter’s minds are far from made up.
Either because people don’t care, or are confused by the propaganda the MSM beams at
them. No politician ever lost votes underestimating the stupidity or ignorance of the
American voter. Votes are sometimes decided on a candidate’s looks, gender, race,
relatives or hometown, rather than taking a hard look at a candidate’s stand on the
issues or their voting record while in office. It resembles American Idol more than
American Election.

Even if every American did study the
candidate’s issues and voting records, and voted with conviction, there’s the pesky
matter of voter fraud. Unless you haven’t voted since 1988, you’ve heard about it. I
think any vote in the general election is a waste of time and an abortion of
democracy.

So I’ll make my prediction quick and simple-
it’s so eay to do: Whoever winds up getting into office won’t make a damn bit of
difference.

I don’t even have to know who will
win, but I predict that whoever the next falsely appointed and/or illegally “elected”
President is, I am certain they will:

|| Consider the interest and benefit of the
Zionists before the welfare of the American people.

|| Put special (monied) interests before the
welfare of the American people.

|| Perpetuate the damaging economic policies that are destroying
the working people and the rest of the world. The number of foreclosures and the
hungry and homeless in the US will increase.

|| Continue the imperialistic, expansionist ideology and actions
that continue to make the US despised by the rest of the world.

|| Will create more wars based on lies, killing more innocents to
ensure boom times for the business of war and of those who profit from death.

|| Continue to violate civil and Constitutional rights, including
increased eavesdropping on phone conversations, email and Internet traffic, and travel
restrictions.

|| Continue to practice torture.

|| Continue to crack down on any form of dissent and any thoughts,
actions or deeds that defy whatever their interpretation of a particular
anti-terrorism law is in vogue on any given day.

|| Continue to send “other’s kids”, not their own, to die for the
wars they create for profit.

|| Continue to not give a rat’s ass about health care or education.
If you’re wealthy, you’ll go to a good school and get top-notch health care.

To sum up, if you find the need to go to a voting poll, just close
your eyes and push a button. It won’t make a damn bit of difference. And you’ll
deserve what you get. Either from being ignorant, obstinate, lazy, or all three.
